Precautions for the use of UV ink

(1) adjustment of indoor temperature and humidity

UV ink has the property that its viscosity changes dramatically with the change of temperature (high temperature: low viscosity, low temperature: high viscosity). This viscosity change will have a great impact on the printing adaptability and printing film thickness. Generally, when the ink temperature decreases, the viscosity increases and the film thickness becomes thicker. When the ink temperature rises, the viscosity decreases and the film thickness becomes thinner. If the viscosity of the ink is too high, the permeability of the silk will deteriorate, and many poor printing phenomena such as foaming and pores will occur after printing. Therefore, please try to keep the room temperature constant during printing. The conclusion is generally 18 ~ 25 ℃

some inks absorb moisture when the humidity of the printing site is high, which will cause problems such as tackiness and gel. At this time, use air conditioner or dehumidifier to deal with the problem

(2) version

when using normal colored ink, please use a version with more than 300 meshes and a sol thickness of less than 10m. The ink film thickness printed under this condition is 10 ~ 12m. The printing area can reach 70 ~ 90 ㎡/kg. If you print colorless varnish, you can also print thick film results with a low purpose version, which can be selected according to the purpose. In addition, in order to avoid foaming or pinhole problems, please try to choose silk with good permeability

(3) scraper

in order to get a good reproducible printing effect, please use a polyurethane scraper with a hardness of 65 ~ 80 and sharpen the edge. The monomer contained in the ink will cause the expansion of the scraper. Be sure to grind or reverse the scraper and other necessary treatment

(4) viscosity adjustment

after fully stirring, take it out of the ink tank and then print it directly. If it is necessary to reduce the viscosity of the ink according to the purpose, please add a diluent with a stable performance of less than 10%. On the contrary, if it is necessary to increase the viscosity of the ink before printing, please mix the mold proof sealant jc/t 885 ⑵ 001 for construction with matting varnish (high viscosity; tackifying type) or jar-22 additive (liquid). Ja-244, jar-20 and other powder matting agents can also be used for viscosity adjustment, but sufficient stirring is required for uniform mixing

(5) concentration adjustment

when adjusting the concentration, please add transparent varnish (clear, gloss type) or colorless concentration regulator (extender, extinction type)

during the printing process or the cleaning process of the plate, please avoid direct sunlight on the ink of the plate. As long as the light of fluorescent lamp is not very close, there is generally no problem

(7) standard curing conditions

each series of inks has its own standard curing conditions. Please refer to the standard curing conditions recorded in the product manuals of each series of inks
